I admit it. I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy. I was born on the fourth of July. It’s quite an honor in my family, since I’m the first American born to Haitian immigrant parents. It’s quite a pleasure to me since in general I always get my birthday off and fireworks are set off in my honor. I just happen to share that honor with the United States of America.
In Atlanta one of the prime spots for fireworks shows is Lenox Mall.
Since the
crowds tend to be outrageous, I came up with the perfect strategy for seeing the show in comfort: book reservations at The Grape at Phipps. The Grape is a wine bar that offers wine-tasting as part of its dining package. It’s situated up the block and across the street from the Lenox Mall parking lot where the fireworks show takes place. From the outdoor patio, the music and bright lights in the sky can easily be seen. The buzz from the wines makes it all the more sparkly.
